This is a listing of the significant changes to the latest edition of the Boeing FCOMs dated 18th Sept 2008. It is not an exhaustive list.

Please refer to your tailored airline FCOMs for operational use because your airline may have differences to standard Boeing procedures or your aircraft may have different equipment.

Limitations:

  • Added location for photoluminescent floor emerg lighting charging tables.

  • Added note regarding the priority for smoke removal procedures.

  • Alternate flap duty cycle limitations reworded for clarification.

 

Vol 1

  • Normal Procedures Philosophy & Assumptions changed for Phase II standardisation.

  • Added definition of maximum motoring (N2 acceleration is less than 1% in 5 seconds)

  • Supplimentary Procedures General changed for Phase II standardisation.

  • Clarified use of oxygen for high airport elevations.

  • Fire & overheat system test with inop loop - changed for cross-model standardisation

  • Changed cold wx procedures for standardisation, clarification and commonality with the AFM.

  • Lots of performance dispatch changes, mostly relating to the Feb 2007 FAA ETOPS rule.

 

Vol 2

  • Added 737-900ER dimensions, doors & differences.

  • Renamed "Fire Warning Switch" with "Fire Switch" throughout FCOMs

  • EFB chapter expanded.

  • FMC: added IAN, common VNAV, NPS with various FMC Updates

  • EFB chapter expanded.

 

QRH

  • New format QRH - this is an entire rewrite!
