  1. Place chocks, Install U/c ground locks and pitot covers. [If halt is more than 2 hrs. and/or aircraft is to be towed].Record and Rectify Reported/observed snags.

  2. Carry out the following inspection for condition, security and leaks:-


A. ENGINE & NACELLE:-

  1. Engine inlet & exhaust, Stator & Rotor Blades, Turbine and Thrust Reversers, Nacelle Cowl fairing access panel and drains, Aft Mount for cone bolt failure.

  2. Service Oil Tanks as required [ within 30 mins of shutdown] Check readings with dipstick & cockpit gauges. Engine gravel deflector tube [if installed].


B. LANDING GEAR AND WHEEL WELLS:-

  1. Main & Nose Landing Gears, Wheel wells, doors, shock strut extension, Tyre pressure, brake wear indicators, Tyre burst screens, Down & Locked Indicators & Viewing windows, Wheel well gear inspection light – op/c.

  2. Fire Extinguisher bottle pressure and Hydraulic System Quantity.


C. FUSELAGE, WINGS AND EMPENNAGE:-

  1. Radome, exterior fuselage, cabin windows, access doors, Pitot tubes, Static Ports, Air conditioning Inlet, all probes, sensors, antennas, wings, empennage including control surfaces and static dischargers. Lower wing surfaces, wing tips, tank vents and Flame arrestor relief valve poppet [if installed]. APU Fire bottle pressure and safety discs, oxygen cylinder pressure and discharge disc. APU Low Oil quantity light out. Correct Bottle Pressure for all four Escape slide indicator. Check all navigation, landing/taxying, emergency strobe lights and OP/C of Rotating beacons, emerg. exit path markings. Check spare bulbs and fuses. Cockpit windows for cleanliness. Ensure cabin cleanliness and toilet servicing.

  2. Drain water from fuel tanks if halt exceeds 6 hours.


D. REFUELLING/SERVICING:-

  1. Check fuel sample for contamination and water.Refuel to required figure, install fuel caps and record figures in P.D.R.

  2. Service water system & Toilets.


E. SECURITY/ANTI-SABOTAGE CHECK:-

  1. Check serviceability of Locking mechanism between cockpit and cabin. Check T.T. Light for operation [if inst]. Check cockpit area , Nose & Main Wheel Well, galley, toilet, cabin, wastebins, Pax seats and pouches, hat racks and floor areas for any foreign objects. Check entire baggage/cargo holds.

  2. Check E & E compartment, if panel is opened for snag rectification.

 


F. FINAL DEPARTURE:-

  1. Carry out final walk around inspection to check all doors/panels, emerg. exits closed, any damage after loading is completed. Ensure all documents on board. Ensure First Aid kit & Physician kit on board, properly sealed & secured.

  2. All pins and covers removed. [If installed].
