On 5 May 2024, 737-300, 9S-AKK, 24916/2066, age 33 Years, operated by Serve Air Cargo suffered a #1 engine failure descending through 11,000ft whilst positioning for an approach onto runway 24 at Kinshasa N'djili (DR Congo).

The aircraft landed at 18:00z (19:00L) and departed to the right of the runway after #2 reverser activation and stopped on soft ground. The #2 engine detached in the excursion.

There were no reported injuries.
