On 25 Sep 2022, a COPA 737-800, HP-1539CMP (29667/3151), delivered Jan 2010; departered off the side of Runway 03R at 02:12z (21:12L), while landing at Panama City (MPZL) in poor weather. First reports are that the aircraft departed the left hand side of the runway at high speed just after touchdown and remained approximately parallel to the runway until coming to a stop on the grass.

All 166 passengers and crew evacuated the aircraft via the slides with no reported injuries.

Runway 03R is 3050x45m.
