27 Sep 2018 - S2-AJA 737-800 Landed with NLG RetractedOn 26 September 2018, a US-Bangala 737-800, S2-AJA, was operating a scheduled passenger flight BS141, from Dhaka to Cox's Bazar. The aircraft went around from its first approach to Cox's Bazar runway 17 after noticing that the NLG had not extended. After troubleshooting the aircraft made a second. low, approach to get a visual confirmation of the gear position, which was confirmed as not down. The crew elected to divert to Chittagong (VGEG) approximately 50 miles away which has a longer runway. The crew landed sucessfully on runway 23 at Chittagong on the main landing gear only with no reported injuries. |
